Our success is a result of our commitment, skill, knowledge, understanding, and ability to communicate. We are pleased to note that all our drivers and assistants participate in in-service training to expand and improve their driving skills and upgrade their knowledge of working with children.
During the school year the buses travel over 500,000 miles, all servicing one high school, one middle school and 3 elementary schools. Lampasas ISD Transportation is pleased to provide bus service to all eligible bus riders. LISD Transportation Department is responsible for providing daily transportation to approximately 1,300 students twice a day. To provide this support the district has 30 Regular Education routes, 7 Special Needs routes, and employs over 70 individuals in the Transportation Services Department.
The district consists of over 600 square miles and encompasses seven populated areas (Bend, Copperas Cove, Izoro, Kempner, Killeen, Lampasas and Lometa) and portions of three counties (Bell, Burnet and Coryell).
