Learning Disability

Learning Disability:  A "learning disability" is a disorder in one or more of the basic psychological processes involved in understanding and using language spoken or written which may manifest itself in an imperfect ability to listen, think, speak, read, spell, or do mathematical calculations.  In Texas, there are 8 categories in learning disability:  basic reading, reading fluency, reading comprehension, math calculation, math problem solving, listening comprehension, oral expression, and written expression.
